Interceptor Fragments Fall Near Eilat After Launches Toward Jordan

Courtroom-sketch editorial illustration of Eilat's illuminated hotel waterfront across the Red Sea at blue hour, with long reflections, mountain ridges and Aqaba lights

After launches were fired toward Jordan, the IDF said several interceptors were launched toward interception debris to rule out the possibility that fragments would fall inside Israel. Interceptor fragments were then identified in an open area near Eilat, with no injuries or damage reported. The military said no alerts were activated under the standing policy and that the incident had ended. Home Front Command instructions remain unchanged. The statement did not identify who carried out the launches, their number, their intended target or what was intercepted over Jordan.
