Iran Fires Missiles Toward Aqaba as Eilat Forces Go on Alert

Israeli military detected missiles launched from Iran toward Jordan's Aqaba, beside Israel's southern border, and warned that the fire could spill into Israeli territory. The IDF said alerts might sound in southern Israel and instructed residents to enter protected spaces if warned, while Home Front Command guidance initially remained unchanged. Eilat Municipality later said explosions heard in the area came from interceptions over Jordan, no Israeli alerts were expected at that stage, and all local forces were ready. The launches came as Iran continued targeting U.S.-allied Arab states during renewed regional fighting.
