Police Investigate Arson and Graffiti at South Hebron Hills Mosque

Israel Police and IDF troops opened a joint investigation after an overnight arson attack in At-Tuwani in the South Hebron Hills damaged a mosque door, burned a vehicle and left Hebrew graffiti. Police said no one was injured, forces searched for suspects, and forensic investigators collected evidence at the scene. A resident said dozens of attackers also damaged homes and tried to ignite additional buildings, allegations not yet independently established by investigators. Police separately said the Havat Gilad wildfire inquiry was continuing; the official notice did not link the two incidents or identify suspects, and an initial fire-team assessment had pointed to a discarded cigarette.
