UK Maritime Center Reports Second Hormuz Ship Attack Near UAE
Britain's United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations center said Monday evening that a second ship had been attacked a day earlier in the Strait of Hormuz, off the United Arab Emirates. The newly disclosed incident was separate from a vessel struck by a projectile near Oman, where the crew abandoned a ship that remained adrift and burning hours later. UKMTO did not identify the attacker or disclose damage and casualty details for the UAE incident. Iran's Revolutionary Guard later said it was targeting tankers as Tehran and Washington contested control of the strategic waterway.
