Central District Court in Lod unanimously convicted Jason Blaise Oudeh of the aggravated murder of Yelena Greenberg, 27. The judges found he planned the killing after Greenberg repeatedly rejected his requests to turn their four-year friendship into a romantic relationship. Oudeh bought a knife two days earlier and obtained gasoline, stabbed Greenberg more than 10 times in his car, then left her body in an open area near Rehovot after pouring fuel over it. The court rejected his claim that the killing was spontaneous; mandatory life imprisonment applies, and sentencing arguments are scheduled for October 7.
