New Mossad director Roman Gofman visited Washington about two weeks ago and met CIA Director John Ratcliffe and senior White House officials, according to two people familiar with the trip. The talks covered the war with Iran, Tehran's nuclear program and coordination between Israel and the United States ahead of ongoing negotiations. It was Gofman's first Washington visit since taking office in June and came shortly before fighting resumed and tensions around the Strait of Hormuz escalated. The CIA and Mossad declined to comment publicly on the meeting.
