The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission withdrew its subpoena seeking identification and personal contact information for University of Pennsylvania employees connected to Jewish groups and studies. A July 23 Third Circuit agreement says the agency will take no further enforcement steps or seek any unproduced material covered by the subpoena. Penn will dismiss its appeal as moot, and each side will bear its own legal costs. The broader EEOC investigation into alleged antisemitic harassment at the university remains open, while Penn said none of the disputed personal information was disclosed.
