Pentagon Iran War Casualty List Drops From 18 Deaths to 14

The Pentagon's Defense Casualty Analysis System reduced its Operation Epic Fury tally from 18 U.S. service-member deaths on Wednesday to 14 on Thursday. The public database now lists seven hostile and seven non-hostile deaths, while President Donald Trump separately cited 18. Acting Pentagon press secretary Joel Valdez attributed the shift to temporary data disruptions, but three military officials said four recent deaths were excluded because they occurred after April's declared ceasefire. Those troops died in Iranian attacks in Jordan and during disposal of an Iranian drone in Iraq.
