Israeli civic groups held a Saturday-night rally at Habima Square in Tel Aviv demanding a state commission of inquiry into the October 7 massacre and equal military-service obligations. The Movement for Quality Government, the October Council and other organizations organized the demonstration. Organizers scheduled speeches by Gal Goren, Maj. Gen. (res.) Amos Gilad, attorney Iris Shmueli and public-law scholar Dr. Meital Pinto. The rally came three days before the Supreme Court was due to hear petitions challenging a law that freezes arrests of people designated as draft defaulters, including Haredi yeshiva students; the reports gave no crowd figure.
