Berlin Pride Attack Suspect Reportedly Killed by Police

German police reportedly shot and killed Abdul Ballout, 21, the suspect sought over the deadly vehicle and stabbing attack near Berlin’s Pride festival, during an operation in the Spandau district. Reports said officers located him in a garden allotment at about 6 p.m. local time, where he attacked a special police unit and an exchange of fire followed. The original attack killed one woman and left multiple people wounded, with published counts ranging from 17 to 29. Ballout had been publicly identified as armed and dangerous and linked by Berlin police to the city’s Islamist scene before the operation.
