Defense Minister Israel Katz met at length Friday with Tal Yinon Dardik at a detention facility, where Dardik is being held under an administrative order and has mounted a hunger strike. Katz's associates said the visit was intended to ensure the detainee's life was not in danger. Family associates said Katz offered house arrest with friends as an alternative, but Dardik rejected the proposal.
