Police Arrest Teen Fugitive in South Hebron Hills Assault Case

Israel Police arrested a 16-year-old who had been sought for two months after video allegedly showed him assaulting a Palestinian woman and toddler and abusing animals in Masafer Yatta in the South Hebron Hills. Police said the investigation began May 27 after the footage circulated online. Detectives from the Judea and Samaria District located the suspect hiding in a field in southern Israel and took him into custody. Earlier reporting on the footage said the suspect was filmed striking a watchdog and shoving a woman to the ground while a toddler clung to her leg.
