Religious Zionism Opens Primaries for Next Knesset Slate

The Religious Zionism party opened voting Sunday to rank candidates for its 26th Knesset slate. Ballots are being cast at the party headquarters in Shoham during the morning and at Jerusalem's Ramada Hotel in the afternoon, with secure remote voting available to reservists and members holding exceptional approval. Ten candidates are contesting the primary, including Minister Orit Strock, MKs Michal Woldiger, Ohad Tal, Zvi Sukkot and Simcha Rothman, and five new contenders. Party chairman Bezalel Smotrich and director-general Yehuda Wald are scheduled to announce results at 8 p.m.
