Danon Rejects Security Council Demand to Admit Dual-Use Items Into Gaza

Israel's UN ambassador Danny Danon rejected Security Council members' demand to lift restrictions on dual-use materials entering Gaza while Hamas remains in control. He said Hamas has used civilian resources to build rockets and tunnels and has rejected proposals to disarm. Danon argued that unrestricted entry would help the terrorist organization rearm and could provide tools for another massacre. He said Israel would not wait indefinitely for others to disarm Hamas and would act to prevent the group from rebuilding its military capabilities.
