IDF Says Nahal Oz Alert Was a False Identification

The IDF said warning sirens were activated Tuesday night in the Nahal Oz area near the Gaza border and that it was examining the event. Four minutes later, the military announced that the alert resulted from a false identification. The official notices were issued at 10:05 and 10:09 p.m. Israel time. No incoming projectile, interception, damage, or casualties were reported in the notices, and the IDF did not immediately identify what triggered the mistaken detection or describe any further military response for the community.
