Almog Cohen Seeks JNF Chairman's Suspension Over Eisenkot Endorsement

Deputy Minister Almog Cohen asked Central Elections Committee chairman Justice Noam Sohlberg to suspend KKL-JNF chairman Ayal Ostrinsky without pay until Election Day. Cohen alleged that Ostrinsky used KKL-JNF’s official channels, position and symbols to promote Gadi Eisenkot’s candidacy, citing election-law restrictions on political activity by certain organization employees. Ostrinsky’s associates rejected the claim, saying he is an elected board chairman rather than an administrative employee. Ostrinsky said his Eisenkot endorsement appeared only on his personal accounts, received no KKL-JNF funding, and that he would not remove it. He described himself as openly political.
