Election Committee Activates Full Disclosure Rules for Election Polls

Acting Central Elections Committee director general Din Libnah sent pollsters and media organizations a letter reminding them that, from Wednesday, every election poll published to the public must be filed with the committee. The submission must include full results, questions, commissioning body, methodology, field dates, sample size and population. Filings are due within 96 hours of publication, tightening to 24 hours during the final two weeks before the October 27 election. Libnah said the disclosure rules let the public inspect the data and help guard against misleading questions and manipulation.
