Senior Israeli security officials said they identified Turkish activity aimed at influencing Israel's October 27 election through social media. They said the effort seeks to shape public opinion, disrupt the campaign and deepen divisions among groups in Israeli society. The officials did not identify the accounts, platforms or organizations involved, and said they had not determined whether Turkey's government was directing the activity. The disclosure came as Shin Bet chief David Zini prepared to brief a classified Knesset subcommittee on signs of foreign election interference and covert political funding.
