Mahmoud Bashara Indicted in Tayibe Murder After DNA Links Him to Guns

Central District prosecutors indicted Mahmoud Bashara, 30, of Tira on aggravated murder and attempted murder charges over last month's shooting in Tayibe. Prosecutors allege he waited about 90 minutes with two loaded pistols, opened fire at close range on Bakr Nusairat and a second man, then fled after exhausting his ammunition; Nusairat, 19, was killed and the other victim was seriously wounded. Police said Bashara returned without his face covering and shouted ‘Who shot him?’ to distance himself from the attack. Investigators found his DNA on the discarded pistols and gloves, and prosecutors asked that he remain jailed through trial.
