The IDF said an airstrike in southern Gaza earlier this week killed Ahmad Hussein Mohammed Qafina, commander of Kataib al-Mujahideen's central-camps sector. According to the military, Qafina raided Israel and directed members of the terror group during the October 7 massacre. It said he participated in abducting Avinatan Or and Noa Argamani and directed the abduction of Thai national Sudthisak Rinthalak. The IDF said Qafina recently advanced attacks against Israeli troops and civilians, posed an immediate threat, and was eliminated in a precise airstrike.
