The Gulf Cooperation Council's secretary-general, Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, condemned Iranian attacks that struck a government facility and civilian equipment belonging to a private company on Kuwait's Bubiyan Island. Albudaiwi called the attacks a continuation of Iran's hostile approach to destabilizing regional security and a violation of Kuwaiti sovereignty and international law. He said the strikes directly threatened Kuwait's security, stability, citizens and residents. The GCC affirmed full solidarity with Kuwait and backed measures taken to protect the country's security, sovereignty and territorial integrity.
