Herzog Accuses ICC Prosecutor of Diverting From Misconduct Allegations

President Isaac Herzog accused International Criminal Court prosecutor Karim Khan of seeking arrest warrants against Israeli leaders to divert attention from sexual-harassment allegations against him. Herzog said Khan had been scheduled to fly to Israel, meet him and other leaders, and study the situation, but canceled the visit on the day he issued the warrants. Herzog called for the case to be dropped, said Khan is no longer serving as prosecutor and argued that the court should not fall into what he described as hate and lies against Israel. In the same interview, he said Hamas's disarmament was Gaza's next phase and that Hamas must no longer control the territory.
