Eli Cohen Says Israel Has Not Approved Gaza Disarmament Plan

Energy Minister Eli Cohen said Israel has not approved the U.S.-backed Gaza disarmament plan and that the security cabinet had not discussed it during the previous 72 hours. Cohen, a member of the security cabinet, said Israel would give the plan a chance but would eliminate any armed actor that operates or threatens. The plan links Hamas weapons transfers and tunnel dismantling to a phased Israeli withdrawal. The IDF said overnight strikes targeted Hamas Nukhba commanders and other military operatives, while Gaza health officials reported nine people killed.
