Nigeria’s Ambassador Presents Credentials to President Herzog

Nigeria’s ambassador to Israel, Nkechi Linda Ufochukwu, formally presented her letters of credence to President Isaac Herzog in Jerusalem on Monday, beginning her diplomatic mission. Ufochukwu conveyed greetings from President Bola Tinubu and reaffirmed Nigeria’s commitment to strengthening its longstanding relationship with Israel. She identified trade, investment, agriculture, food security, technology, innovation, defense and security cooperation, healthcare, and cultural and people-to-people exchanges as priorities for her tenure. Herzog said Israel was ready to work closely with Nigeria on shared interests, particularly innovation and counterterrorism.
