Rambam Says Four Reservists Wounded in Majdal Zoun Blast Have Stabilized

Rambam Health Care Campus in Haifa said the condition of the four reserve soldiers wounded Wednesday in southern Lebanon has stabilized. One of them has regained consciousness and is communicating, while the other three remain sedated and ventilated. The men were seriously hurt when an explosive device detonated as their reserve force entered a building in Majdal Zoun, and they were evacuated by helicopter to the hospital. Two reservists were killed in the same blast, Maj. Harel Birenstock, 34, of Nokdim, and Sgt. First Class Tamir Vaknin, 33, of Eilat.
