The IDF said Wednesday evening that it carried out an airstrike against the leader of a Hamas cell in northern Gaza. According to the military, the operative was planning terrorist attacks against Israeli troops operating in the Strip, and the strike was conducted to remove that threat. The statement did not identify the operative or report his condition. The IDF said Southern Command forces remain deployed in the area under the current agreement and will continue acting against immediate threats.
