One Yemeni government soldier was killed and another critically wounded in renewed fighting with Iran-backed Houthi forces in Taiz, Yemeni military officials said. Tribal leaders said army artillery also targeted Houthi movements overnight in Marib, extending clashes across several fronts. Separately, the Southern Armed Forces said they repelled a Houthi assault in the Hayfan area along the Taiz-Lahj border after striking reinforcements near Al-Mamshah and Wadi al-Sabad. Houthi media reported seven fighters killed, while the group had not commented on the Southern Armed Forces' account of the assault.
