Iranian Student Activist Says Movement Is Building a Democratic Alternative

An anonymous activist from Iran's Progressive Students movement said the group is building a domestically led democratic alternative through cooperation with figures and parties from Kurdistan, Azerbaijan and Balochistan, spanning the political Left and Right. The activist said the plan is already being implemented, rejected coups or a foreign-installed ruler and expressed doubt that Reza Pahlavi could lead a transition. The group supports outside assistance for resistance cells inside Iran. The activist said Israelis are not Iran's enemy and described future Iranian-Israeli peace as a victory for modernity.
