Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told the IDF General Staff at a pre-Rosh Hashanah toast at the Kirya in Tel Aviv that toppling Iran’s regime is Israel’s main remaining task. He said the regime was faltering, weaker than ever and fighting for its life. Netanyahu said Israel had pushed back Iran’s nuclear and ballistic-missile threats and was capable of removing the threat once and for all, describing regime change as close and within reach. Defense Minister Israel Katz, IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir and members of the General Staff Forum attended.
