IDF Postpones Palestinian Terror-Suspect Arrests Amid West Bank Unrest

IDF forces in Judea and Samaria canceled or postponed some arrests of Palestinian terrorism suspects requested by the Shin Bet in recent days as troops were diverted to confront Jewish extremist violence and Jewish-Palestinian clashes. The military said it could not arrest every wanted suspect and was prioritizing forces according to changing operational assessments. Golani's 51st Battalion, sent to Qusra from refresher training, was due to leave on August 16. Central Command instead maintained a permanent presence for now, assigning the Haruv Reconnaissance Unit to replace it and prevent the unauthorized outpost's reestablishment.
