Greek Military Chief Choupis Completes Israel Visit, Meets IDF Chief Zamir

General Dimitrios Choupis, chief of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff, completed an official visit to Israel and met IDF Chief of the General Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir. He also met Greek Ambassador to Israel Maya Solomou, Defense Ministry director general Amir Baram, and international defense cooperation director Yair Kulas. Both general staffs said the visit highlights the strategic importance of an established military relationship and a commitment to advancing bilateral cooperation and regional stability. The announcements cited the Iniochos exercise, an Israeli-built training center for the Hellenic Air Force, and Greek procurement of Spike NLOS missiles, launchers, air-defense systems for the Achilles Shield project, and advanced drones.
