Pro-Israel Democrats Moskowitz and Wasserman Schultz Win Florida House Primaries

Representative Jared Moskowitz won the Democratic primary in Florida's newly drawn 25th Congressional District on Tuesday, defeating Oliver Larkin, the only Democratic Socialists of America endorsed House candidate in a competitive swing seat this cycle. Larkin had described Israel's governing coalition as a religious supremacist regime, while Moskowitz campaigned as a vocal supporter of robust American military and security assistance to Israel. Representative Debbie Wasserman Schultz won the Democratic primary in the redrawn 20th District with roughly 48 percent, putting her on course for a 12th term. Both incumbents are Jewish Democrats long identified as champions of Israel, and both challengers ran on criticism of their Israel positions.
