Israel and Colombia Set Mutual Visa Waiver From September 1

Israel and Colombia will exempt each other's citizens from visa requirements beginning September 1, 2026. The Israeli Foreign Ministry said the reciprocal decision followed talks between Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar and Colombian Foreign Minister Omar Bula Escobar. The ministry announced the agreement on August 20, making the policy change a joint bilateral decision rather than a one-sided waiver. Its statement did not specify permitted lengths of stay or eligible passport categories, leaving those implementation details unstated ahead of the September start date.
