Colombian President Abelardo De La Espriella said he held a “very warm and enriching” conversation with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. He thanked Netanyahu and Israel for humanitarian aid and for sending rescuers to Colombia during what he described as a very difficult period. De La Espriella said the call opened a new period in bilateral relations based on friendship, solidarity, cooperation and mutual respect. He closed by declaring that Colombia and Israel would always be friends and allies. The official statement did not announce any specific new agreement.
