Syria Condemns IDF Strike on Immediate Threat Near Beit Jinn

Courtroom-sketch editorial illustration of uniformed personnel and civilians standing beside a damaged white pickup truck resting nose-down off a rural road, with an olive tree and terraced hills behind them, drawn in warm ochre and slate-blue chalk and pastel strokes with cross-hatching on sepia newsprint.

Syria’s Foreign Ministry condemned an Israeli strike on a vehicle between Beit Jinn Farm and Beit Jinn village in the western Damascus countryside, calling it a violation of Syrian sovereignty and saying at least one person was injured. The ministry urged the UN Security Council and international community to act. The IDF said it fired in southern Syria at a terrorist in the final stages of preparing attacks whose activity posed an immediate threat to Israeli troops. It did not identify the target or state the strike’s outcome.
