IDF Says It Struck October 7 Nukhba Commander in Khan Younis

The IDF said it struck a Hamas military-wing Nukhba platoon commander in the Khan Younis area of southern Gaza on Sunday. The military said the unnamed commander infiltrated Israeli territory during the October 7 massacre, and throughout the war he advanced attacks against IDF troops. According to the announcement, he posed an immediate threat, prompting the strike. Southern Command forces remain deployed in the area under the ceasefire agreement and are acting against threats, the IDF said. The military did not identify the commander, specify the exact time of the strike, or say whether he was killed.
