Spyware Found on Phones of Two Senior Eisenkot Campaign Officials

Malicious software capable of eavesdropping and extracting sensitive political and strategic information was found on the phones of two senior officials in Gadi Eisenkot’s Yashar election campaign. The infections were discovered in two separate daily security scans conducted in recent weeks, while Eisenkot’s own devices were not compromised. The campaign has not filed a police complaint and has not identified the staffers, attacker, infection method or dates. It continues daily phone scans through a private security company and has strengthened security across its computers and communications systems.
