The IDF says a strike in northern Gaza on August 28 killed Hani Abd al-Hai Fakhri Mazloum, whom it identified as a Hamas Nukhba company commander. It said the same operation killed Hassan Zidan Hassan Deiri, identified as a sniper in Hamas's military wing. The military's Saturday evening announcement identified both men by name and said the operation removed an immediate threat. The IDF did not disclose the strike's exact time or provide any additional operational details in the announcement.
