IDF Strikes Hamas Commander Planning Attacks Near Gaza Hospital

The IDF said it struck a Hamas military-wing commander in Deir al-Balah who was planning attacks against troops and Israeli civilians. According to the military, he was also working to rebuild Hamas capabilities in systematic violation of the ceasefire. The commander was hiding beside the Shuhada al-Aqsa Hospital complex, and the IDF said it used precision munitions and aerial surveillance to reduce civilian harm. The military described the operation as removing an immediate threat, but its statement did not name the commander or confirm whether he was killed.
