IDF Strikes Hamas Sites After Explosive Hits Engineering Vehicle

Courtroom-sketch editorial illustration of an armored IDF D9 bulldozer moving through a debris-strewn urban street in Gaza between damaged buildings, drawn in warm ochre and slate-blue pastel with cross-hatching on sepia newsprint.

An IDF engineering vehicle struck a Hamas explosive on Sunday in the Yellow Line area of northern Gaza, without injuring troops. The military described the device's activation as a blatant Hamas violation of the ceasefire. In response, the IDF struck Hamas infrastructure overnight that it said was used to advance attacks against Israeli civilians and IDF forces. Southern Command troops remain deployed in the area under the ceasefire framework, and the military said they will continue acting against immediate threats.
