IDF forces arrested three Palestinian Authority police officers this week over an August 23 incident near Beitunia in Area C. The military said the officers unlawfully established a roadblock, detained and assaulted an Israeli civilian, and exceeded their authority, endangering him through aggressive use of force. The three are being questioned by Israeli security forces. The IDF said existing security coordination with the Palestinian Authority continues under political-echelon instructions, but it will not tolerate breaches of procedure by PA personnel.
