Netanyahu to Make 24-Hour New York Trip for UN Speech Amid Arrest Demand

Israel’s UN ambassador Danny Danon said Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is scheduled to arrive in New York late Sept. 23, address the General Assembly on Sept. 24 and return that night. Danon described the visit as a 24-hour trip and said there was ‘no option’ after Mayor Zohran Mamdani urged Netanyahu’s arrest. New York City cannot execute the International Criminal Court warrant, and the United States and Israel are not ICC members. Israel denies the court’s allegations, while the Trump administration has sanctioned ICC personnel.
