Katz Addresses Iran’s Jewish Community: ‘Next Year in a Liberated Tehran’

Courtroom-sketch editorial illustration of Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz in a dark suit, white shirt, blue tie, and Israeli flag pin against a softly blurred outdoor event background, drawn in warm ochre and slate-blue pastel with cross-hatching on sepia newsprint.

Defense Minister Israel Katz addressed Iran’s Jewish community in a video ahead of Rosh Hashanah. Katz said, ‘Next year in Tehran liberated from oppression and tyranny.’ He warned Iran’s leadership that any attack on Israel, anywhere and for any reason, would bring a powerful response against central energy facilities. Katz said such a strike would set Iran back decades and further destabilize the ayatollah regime. The message combined a holiday greeting to the community with a deterrent warning to authorities in Tehran.
