Defense Minister Israel Katz said Israel is preparing for every possibility and warned Iran would suffer a crushing blow if it attacks. He spoke after a security consultation with IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir and senior defense officials amid intelligence assessments that Tehran may try to draw Israel into renewed fighting. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is expected to convene the small security cabinet on Friday as the defense establishment prepares for possible weekend escalation. The Home Front Command has issued no new public directives.
