U.S. Opens 13th Consecutive Night of Strikes Against Iran

U.S. Central Command said American forces began another night of strikes against Iranian military targets at 6:45 p.m. Eastern time Thursday, marking the thirteenth consecutive night of the renewed campaign. CENTCOM said the operation aimed to hold Iran accountable and diminish threats from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps to commercial shipping. The strikes came as Washington pushes to restore traffic through the Strait of Hormuz after repeated Iranian attacks on vessels. Iranian media soon reported explosions in Bandar Abbas, Qeshm, Andimeshk and Omidiyeh. CENTCOM did not immediately identify specific targets or issue a damage assessment.
