Iran Activates Air Defenses Over Tehran Against 'Hostile Threats'

Iranian media said air-defense systems were activated over Tehran early Friday to confront what Mehr described as "hostile threats." The alert was reported at about 3:30 a.m. Israel time, less than two hours after U.S. forces began a thirteenth consecutive night of strikes against Iranian military targets. Reports earlier in the night described explosions around Bandar Abbas, Qeshm and Ahvaz, but no authority immediately said whether the Tehran activation was tied to those attacks. No casualties, damage or identified aerial target were reported in the first accounts.
