U.S. Strikes Cause Power Outages in Parts of Bandar Abbas

U.S. forces struck Bandar Abbas during the thirteenth consecutive night of attacks on Iranian military targets, and Hormozgan's crisis-management chief reported power outages in affected parts of the port city. The U.S. military said the campaign began at 6:45 p.m. Eastern time and is intended to diminish threats from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps to commercial shipping. Iranian state media also reported explosions in Bandar Abbas and nearby Qeshm as Washington sought to restore traffic through the Strait of Hormuz. No casualty or damage assessment was immediately released for the latest attacks.
