U.S. Strike Near Ahvaz Kills Four, Wounds Five, Iranian Officials Say
Iranian officials said a U.S. missile strike on the outskirts of Ahvaz killed four people and wounded five during Washington's 13th consecutive night of attacks. The city sits on the Karun River in Khuzestan Province, where explosions were reported alongside blasts near Andimeshk, Omidiyeh and Firuzabad. U.S. Central Command said the barrage targeted Iranian military command centers, drone storage facilities, communications networks, coastal surveillance sites and maritime capabilities. The American military said the strike wave ended shortly before 5 a.m. local time.
