Shayetet 13 Begins Counterterror Operations in Judea and Samaria

Shayetet 13 has begun operating in the Judea Regional Brigade sector against high-value targets and locations associated with violent activity, according to a security official. The official said the naval commando unit is joining counterterror operations across Judea and Samaria, with other special units also expected to take part, and described the period as carrying significant escalation potential. During a related overnight operation in Yatta, commandos rappelled from a helicopter onto a rooftop as larger IDF forces entered the area. The IDF confirmed Shayetet 13 activity in the South Hebron Hills but withheld further details for operational-security reasons.
