IDF Names October 7 Nukhba Commander and Hamas Naval Commander Killed in Gaza

The IDF said it had identified two Hamas commanders killed in separate Gaza strikes this week. It said Muhammad Jamal Ahmad Eid, a Nukhba commander who infiltrated Israel on October 7, was killed in Al-Bureij on September 16, while Saleh Ziad Ibrahim Miqdad, a platoon commander in Hamas’s naval array, was killed in Gaza City on September 15. According to the military, both men had recently advanced attacks against Israeli troops and civilians and worked to rebuild Hamas capabilities in violation of the ceasefire; it said precision munitions and aerial surveillance were used to mitigate civilian harm.
